John Tan Group Chief Executive
ACR Capital Holdings Pte. Ltd.
In John’s 30-year career, he has held an array of senior positions in the insurance industry, primarily in Southeast Asia. Since 1976, he has accumulated a wealth of experience in many aspects of the business, including underwriting, reinsurance, claims and broking.
In 2006, John founded Asia Capital Reinsurance Group, a reinsurance firm focusing exclusively on the pan-Asian market.

Clarence has over 25 years of financial services experience in Asia, across both insurance and banking industries. Prior to joining ACR, he held various management roles with wide geographic responsibilities at Swiss Re for over a decade. During this period, he oversaw Swiss Re’s property and casualty as well as life and health businesses in the region. Clarence entered the reinsurance field with corporate and investment banking experience from Barclays Bank/BZW and Bank of America. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Babson College and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.
Clarence is responsible for shaping and driving ACR's overall operational strategies.

Tan Chong Liong Group Chief Financial Officer
ACR Capital Holdings Pte. Ltd.
Chong Liong has about 20 years of experience in financial and strategic management across a range of sectors, including telecommunications, broadcasting, property and power while holding finance and treasury responsibilities at Malaysian-based conglomerate, the Usaha Tegas Group. He holds a Master of Business Administration (International Management) from RMIT University, Melbourne, and is a Certified Public Accountant with the Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
Chong Liong is responsible for the Group's financial management, investment and Enterprise Risk Management.

A K Wong Senior Executive Vice President ACR Capital Holdings Pte. Ltd.
A K has over 25 years of experience in the insurance industry, primarily in senior management roles. He was previously the Director and Chief Executive Officer of Overseas Assurance Corporation (Malaysia) and has also served on the Board of Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia). He holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering, Honours) from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
A K is responsible for steering the effort for more synergies and efficiency within the group. He also provides oversight to ACR's associated companies

Frank Sin Senior Executive Vice President, Group Operations
ACR Capital Holdings Pte. Ltd.
Frank has 16 years of experience steering key financial investments and strategic corporate development initiatives across various high-growth industries. Prior to joining ACR, he was the Investment Director of a private equity firm. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore and a Master in Science (Electrical Engineering) from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Frank oversees Branding and Communications, HR Management and Talent Development, and IT and System for all ACR entities.

Reto Brosi Principal Officer
Asia Capital Reinsurance Group Pte. Ltd.
Reto has close to 20 years of reinsurance experience, most of which were spent based in cities across Asia. Recognised for his strong technical expertise, especially in casualty treaty reinsurance, Reto’s industry experience includes a wide spectrum of regional reinsurance business functions such as development and execution of product and marketing strategies. Prior to joining ACR, Reto was based in Beijing as Swiss Re’s Head of Casualty for China & Korea as well as leader of Asia motor strategy. Prior to that, he was General Manager for Swiss Re’s Property and Casualty business in the South East Asian region. Reto holds a PhD in Life Science from the University of Basel in Switzerland.
Reto is responsible for the overall strategic and operational functions of Asia Capital Reinsurance Group.

Chin Hon Choong
Chief Underwriting Officer, Facultative & Specialty
Asia Capital Reinsurance Group Pte. Ltd.
Hon Choong's underwriting career spans 20 years, a significant part of which was spent at Swiss Re where he specialised in marine risks, particularly in Asia's emerging markets ex-Japan. Since joining ACR in 2006, he has been instrumental in the growth of the company's facultative portfolio and underwriting team. Hon Choong has also contributed significantly to the development of ACR's marine portfolio. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from the National University of Singapore, and is a Fellow of The Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).
Hon Choong leads ACR's Facultative & Specialty division.

Desmond Tan
Chief Underwriting Officer, Treaty, Non-Marine
Asia Capital Reinsurance Group Pte. Ltd.
Desmond has over 20 years of experience in the (re)insurance industry, where he has been heavily involved in developing strategic marketing programmes for treaty businesses in Asia. Just prior to joining ACR, he was with GE ERC, assuming responsibilities for treaty underwriting, business development, process control management and client underwriting audit. He holds an MBA from University of Leicester.
Desmond leads ACR’s Non-Marine Treaty business.

Kenrick Law Executive Vice President, Client Management Asia Capital Reinsurance Group Pte. Ltd.
Kenrick has over 15 years of international underwriting experience, including 11 years at Swiss Re during which he was based in various cities including Zurich, Johannesburg, Hong Kong and Singapore. He assumed casualty treaty underwriting functions for Swiss Re’s Greater China portfolio and subsequently held responsibilities for managing and developing the casualty treaty business across Asia. Kenrick led the development of ACR’s Casualty business before moving on to drive client management initiatives in the areas of key client relationship management, research and business development. He holds a Master of Arts (Economics) from the University of Toronto, Ontario.
Kenrick heads the Client Management Unit and oversees ACR's representative offices in Asia.

Chan Whye Loon
Chief Risk Officer

Whye Loon has 20 years of insurance experience focusing on actuarial, underwriting, risk management and business development roles spanning the Asia Pacific, USA and Middle East. He joined ACR from Al Fajer Retakaful Insurance Company, K.S.C.C., Kuwait, where he was its Chief Risk Officer. He was formerly with OAC Insurance, Allianz Re and Watson Wyatt. Whye Loon holds a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Actuarial Science, from the University of Central Oklahoma, USA.
Whye Loon leads the Risk Management team in accumulation, actuarial, capital modelling and retrocession function of the company as well as oversees the implementation of ACR’s Enterprise Risk Management process.

Suhaimi Rashid Chief Financial Officer

Suhaimi has been in the financial and insurance sectors for 28 years. A Certified Public Accountant, Singapore, Suhaimi was previously an auditor with KPMG and Ernst & Young and following that, the Financial Controller at the Asia regional office of Folksam International Insurance Co Ltd & Fund American International Insurance Co Ltd. Before joining ACR, he was Assistant General Manager (Finance & Administration) at Arab Insurance Group, Singapore. He holds an Master of Business Administration (University of Manchester) as well as Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and Chartered Financial Consultants qualifications.
Suhaimi is responsible for Finance and Technical Accounting.

Don Guo Chief Investment Officer
Asia Capital Reinsurance Group Pte. Ltd. Don brings with him over 15 years’ experience in international finance and investments. He joined ACR from XL Capital Group in New York, where he was responsible for originating, structuring and executing asset-backed transactions and investments globally, with specific focus on Asia, US and Latin America. He was previously with Swiss Re Group in Zurich, London and Hong Kong, where he underwrote various Asian and European credit transactions. Don holds a Master of Business Administration from Columbia University, New York, and a Master in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance & Economics. He is a CFA Charterholder.
Don is responsible for developing and managing ACR's investment strategies and activities worldwide.
