John Tan, Chief Executive Officer
John brings 30 years of expertise in insurance and reinsurance to ACR, primarily from working in Asia for global organisations that included HSBC Insurance Brokers, Swiss Re and Union Re. He is a Fellow of The Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

A K Wong, Executive Vice President & Chief Executive Officer, Asia Capital Reinsurance Malaysia Sdn Bhd
A K has over 25 years of experience in the Malaysian insurance industry, primarily in senior management roles. He was previously the Director & Chief Executive Officer of Overseas Assurance Corporation (Malaysia) and has also served on the Board of Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia). He holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering, Honours) from the Imperial College of Science and Technology, University of London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

Jim Attwood, Executive Vice President & Chief Risk Officer
Jim has 22 years of experience with organisations like Swiss Re and Aon Re where he introduced many innovative ways of managing risk. He was in charge of Swiss Re's structured (re)insurance business in Asia for three years before joining ACR. Jim is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries (UK) and a Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society.

Ruediger Otto, Chief Operating Officer
Ruediger has close to 30 years of experience in both the reinsurance and insurance industries and was responsible for spearheading key management strategies in Asia. He was part of the driving team that established Swiss Re’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong and was involved in several organisational integrations including that of Swiss Re and GE Insurance Solutions. Prior to joining ACR, Ruediger was Swiss Re’s Chief Underwriting Officer of the Asia Pacific region.

Tan Chong Liong, Chief Financial Officer
Chong Liong has 17 years of experience in financial and stratpegic management across a range of sectors – including telecommunications, broadcasting, property and power while holding finance and treasury responsibilities at Malaysian-based conglomerate, the Usaha Tegas Group. He holds a Master of Business Administration (International Management) from RMIT University, Melbourne, and is a Certified Public Accountant with The Malaysian Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Peter Hugger, Chief Marketing Officer
Peter has 20 years of experience driving business development initiatives in the international reinsurance and insurance markets. He was previously responsible for establishing Gerling Global Re’s first Asian branch and subsequently became the Regional Head and CEO, opening the regional office in Singapore and later representative offices throughout key Asian markets. He moved on to set up and helm the Asia Pacific operations of a German software company which specialised in products and services for insurance and reinsurance businesses, before joining ACR. Peter has a Doctorate in Social Science and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Konstanz.

Frank Sin, Head of Corporate Development
Frank has more than 10 years of experience driving key financial investments and strategic corporate development initiatives across various high-growth industries. Prior to joining ACR, he was the Investment Director of a private equity firm. He holds a Master of Business Administration from National University of Singapore and a Master in Science (Electrical Engineering) from University of California, Los Angeles.

Christopher Tang, Chief Claims Officer
Christopher comes to ACR with extensive experience in claims consultancy and a wealth of expertise in claims adjustment and management, acquired from his 30-year career with the Charles Taylor Consulting Group. He is a Fellow of The Association of Average Adjusters, UK.

Hans Sandström, Head of Underwriting, Aviation
Hans has been involved in the aviation insurance market for more than 30 years, during which time he worked for Inter Hannover and Skandia International and had responsibilities for all areas of their aviation accounts. He has also served as President of the International Union of Aviation Insurers. Hans holds a Master in Political Science and Philosophy from Uppsala University, Sweden.

Chin Hon Choong, Head of Underwriting, Marine
Hong Choong's underwriting career spans 16 years, the better part of which was spent at Swiss Re where he specialised in marine risks, particularly with regard to Asia's emerging markets ex-Japan. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Economics) from the National University of Singapore, and is a Fellow of The Chartered Insurance Institute (UK).

Beat R Bolli, Head of Underwriting, Energy
Beat has 40 years of experience in the energy sector, commencing his career with Gulf Oil Corporation as a research geophysicist before managing the worldwide technical exploration operations of Gulf Oil Corporation and then Chevron. Thereafter, he spent 10 years at Swiss Re as head of offshore energy underwriting followed by three years of risk engineering and consulting for energy and insurance companies. Beat holds a Master in Geodesy and Geophysics from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich.

Micky Lee, Head of Underwriting, Property
A Chartered Insurer, Micky has been involved in property and engineering underwriting for 20 years. He has managed facultative and treaty portfolios in Asia for reinsurers like Swiss Re, St Paul Re, Mercantile & General Re and Compagnie Transcontinentale de Re. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil and Structural) from the National University of Singapore. He is also an Associate of The Chartered Insurance Institute (UK) and an Associate in Risk Management of the Insurance Institute of America.

Wolfgang Zimmermann, Head of Underwriting, Engineering
Wolfgang is an experienced insurance expert who has spent the last 23 years in various senior managerial roles at Allianz worldwide, following his career as a professional engineer with the German government. He holds a Master of Science (Civil Engineering) from the Technical University of Munich, Germany and a Master of Business Administration from the German Government.

Kenrick Law, Head of Underwriting, Casualty
Kenrick has 11 years of expertise in casualty treaty underwriting at Swiss Re where he initially assumed underwriting functions for Greater China and subsequently held responsibilities for managing and developing the casualty treaty business across Asia. He holds a Master of Arts (Economics) from the University of Toronto, Ontario.

Paul Collins, Head of Underwriting, Complex Risks
Paul has an illustrious career spanning 30 years at global insurance/reinsurance companies like Swiss Re and GE Insurance. Paul was Territorial Head, South East Asia, at GE Insurance, where he drove client strategy for branches in Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. He was also ERC Malaysia Principal Officer, handling runoff of closed office. Paul’s major strengths are Underwriting (Property & Casualty Reinsurance), Strategic Planning and providing good client solutions.
